As we are today...
Yesterday was so very nice for Randy and me. We enjoyed an early dinner at the new Cheesecake Factory at the mall in Smithtown. We had fun talking and eating and talking some more. We celebrated with a shared piece of banana cream cheesecake and glass mugs of hot coffee. Then, Randy surprised me with two new skirts from Coldwater Creek (a favorite store of mine, loved for its modest apparel.) Here's a photo from our wonderful, happy anniversary day!

It's our anniversary!
"Love does not consist of gazing at each other, but in looking together in the same direction." Today we celebrate twenty-seven years of looking together in the same direction. We are happy, we are content, and we are in love - more than ever before! Oh, how little we knew about love when this picture was taken. We are ever grateful to our heavenly Father Who has shown us that real love is willing to give of itself, without ever desiring something in return. Thank you, Randy, for giving of yourself for me. Let's continue to look together in the same direction - UP. I love you.

Cute Overload!
Joe, Lorraine, Stephanie, Emily, Luke, and Mark have a new addition to their family! A gift from a client, this little guy is called a Havanese. He doesn't have a name yet, so if you have any suggestions, feel free to leave a comment. Abbey and Melissa LOVED him! Thank you so much for bringing him by, Lorraine! We had so much fun holding him.

Dinner guest
Mrs. Jones was our special guest for dinner this past Sunday. We enjoyed her company and loved listening to all her stories about East Patchogue, including the fact that she was born here - in a little house on Orchard Street, just about 1 mile from our house.
Abbey and Randy with Mrs. Jones, who became our good friend when we lived in an apartment in her home.
Abbey and me with Gussie. The day before I poked myself in the eye with a hairclip - that's why my eye is all red.

One week ago today...
...was Dr. Bernie's SURPRISE 40th birthday bash! Look closely as the camera moves to the left and you will see Dr. Bernie having a hoppy, hoppy birthday along with his girl Shayna (the lighting is dark, but you can see it if you try.) Turn up the volume on your computer to hear the magnificent birthday chorus...
Project status...
The seeds that I planted 10 days ago, are now seedlings! To me, there is something so amazing about a tiny little seed growing into lovely, living plant - with flowers! I'm looking forward to the flower garden this summer; and maybe I'll even plant some veggies this year.

Updates!
Nathaniel's blog has been updated and contains excellent pictures of his work among the Hindi people. Shown are photos of nearly 1 million people traveling to a certain pond where they believe they can have their sins cleansed. Our good brother, Nathaniel, was there to show them the Lord Jesus Christ as their only hope for salvation. Click here to view his blog.

What the Irish Tenors said to Madison
Madison recently met the Irish Tenors in person. In her own words, this is what they said to her...
The wallpaper map is up!
Today, Kathleen and I discovered that the eight-piece wallpaper map we were planning to put up was not pre-pasted. So... we mixed up a batch of wallpaper paste and painted it onto the back of each section. We thought it would be difficult, but it was actually very easy! We started at about 11am and were finished by 3:45 this afternoon. Tomorrow I'll trim all the edges with an exacto knife and glue down any loose seams.
Ready for service!

The first two panels are up.
Painting with wallpaper paste.

Only one more panel to go!
Voila! It is finished and ready for missionary photos, letters, and other mission information.

Treason Against Our Nation...
Here are three great clips that are easy to watch and worth your time - VERY worth your time. These clips make up a collection of TV newscasts regarding the implementation of the North American Union. The clips are direct, informative, and easy to follow. Just click on the word, "Video 1, 2, or 3." After you view them, please feel free to direct others to my blog so they can also be informed!
VIDEO 1
VIDEO 2
VIDEO 3
Of these three videos, the second one contains news reports by CNN's Lou Dobbs, a CNBC report on the Amero, various Texas News Broadcasters discussing the NAFTA Highway starting with the construction of the Texas Corridor, and, lastly, an interview by Howard Phillips of Jerome Corsi all discussing in detail the implementation of the North American Union, with no oversight from Congress or the American people! Do not stay in the dark about these serious issues!

Bangladesh update...
Please click on the link to the right of this post and visit Nathaniel's Bangladesh blog. He has recent news and pictures! To have a native missionary to the country of Bangladesh can only be a miracle! How we thank God for the Hazra family... please pray for them.

A little bit scary...
...but oh so sweet! Bigger than big, part wolf, and part German shepherd, Sam has all the DNA to make for one dangerous dog. But he was so gentle! He's thirteen years old and thinks his owner's car is his winter den. He loves it in there and actually begs to be let in. His master was keeper of the ski lodge at Roseland Ranch.

INTRUDERS!
It was 2:30 am on Tuesday morning. The house was quiet, the people were sleeping. The dog was !!BARKING!! Certain that someone was breaking into our van, we jumped out of bed and ran to the living room picture window. Three beautiful deer were casually walking down the dark road in front of our home. Randy flicked on the garage lights, causing them to run into the side yard. Several moments later, we saw them running back in the direction from where they came. 'Twas a beautiful sight. It all happened so fast that my camera was useless : (

Oh the food!
The food at Roseland Ranch is first class, top-of-line, and made with love. Take your pick...
Prime rib with a baked potato and veggies, or...
Fresh salmon with lemon butter, yellow rice, veggies, and asparagus.
(This is a photo of my plate.)

Dessert was "not just any old" apple pie
Cheesecake with fresh whipped cream (sorry Ray),
And light lemon cake layered with whipped cream and a tangy lemon sauce. I'm sorry to say that I sampled each one and each one was loved by me.

Skiing at Roseland Ranch
Here's a shot of Abbey, Randy, and Melissa right before the ski lift took them up and away on their snow tubes! The guy in the background looks a little grumpy, but he wasn't - he was actually very accomodating as he helped everyone onto the lift...

The girls and their ski gear.
Here's the beautiful fire place inside the lodge. It's where everyone gathers after a day on the slopes. The good people in the kitchen serve tray-after-tray of delicious finger foods - "pigs in a blanket," deep fried chicken wings, etc., etc., to the near frozen folks who have just arrived from the cold. Double click on the photo to see the beautiful black granite that I would like to have for a fireplace someday.

The next two shots are of Cheryl and Justin. Have you ever seen a mother and son look more alike than these two? I think they're both beautiful!
