By the Bay in Bayport...

Hey everyone! Join us as we demonstrate digital water technology today at Bellport Days in Bellport Village - look for our display tent and demonstration right by the Fire Department. Hope to see you there! I'll publish pictures tonight or on Monday - I don't usually blog on Sunday.

Maddie Minding Higgins

While out for an evening stroll, Mr. Higgins followed the leader quite perfectly.

So small against the pavement...

I love reading about Brother Nathaniel's work in Bangladesh, especially when someone is converted the Bible way. Here's another wonderful testimony of God's goodness to mankind from Brother Nathaniel - read it here.

Here's a photo of Randy with some of our Sunday school kids. I love the way they all look so happy!

Our resident mother rabbit has a little one! Joining in on the family evening rabbit fun is a little black mouse; see him in the right hand corner? He kept running back and forth between the rabbits and the trees. I hope he (or she) doesn't have a family... Mice are not my favorite animal.

It's kind of a bummer when one's birthday falls on a regular old Thursday. Randy had to work all day and didn't get home till nearly 7:00. But not to worry! Abbey and I spent the day gathering his favorite things and here's how an ordinary Thursday turned into a memorable birthday celebration!

After looking everywhere, we finally found the historical John Adams DVD series - reading history (or in this case, watching it) is a favorite "wind-down" for Randy. He'll love this gift!

Homemade carrot cake with homemade cream cheese frosting - just what the birthday guy ordered!

After a barbeque of hamburgers, corn on the cob, and baked beans, we headed to Robert Moses State Park...

If you knew how hard it was to get this photo, you'd stand up and cheer for me! The light on the lighthouse flashes for about one tenth of a second. It took some serious timing to get this pic!

I just love these pictures of Abbey and Randy walking along the beach at dusk...

The end of an ordinary Thursday turned extraordinary!

Happy, happy birthday Randy! We're so thankful for you and all you are - a good Christian man who loves the Lord and loves his family. We can always count on you for good conversation, to fix anything that's broken, to know the answers to all our questions, and to make sure our needs are met. God bless you today and every day. We love you.

You really must see what Abbey has ordained for our beloved pet, Mr. Higgins. And don't feel sorry for him, he NEEDS it!
I've been so busy with my business lately that I haven't had time to blog! Marketing alkaline/ionized water has been a challenge for me, but it's a challenge that I'm enjoying immensely! Alkaline, ionized water helps to relieve the body of acidosis - what I believe is the basis for all disease. Robert O. Young, doctor and author, sent me this article about cancer. I found it fascinating and quite commonsensical. It's longer than what I normally post, but you should read on. You'll be enlightened and encouraged about the dreaded disease called cancer...

What is the origin of cancer or where
does cancer begin?

Cancerous tissue, above all other consequences of choice, has countless secondary causes.
But even for a cancerous condition there is only ONE PRIME ORIGIN and CAUSE. I have simply summarized this origin and cause of cancerous tissue in a few words. The prime origin and cause of cancerous tissue is the over-acidification of the tissues then in the blood due to lifestyle and dietary choices. A cancerous tissue begins with our choices of what we eat, what we drink, what we think and how we live. Cancer is a liquid and this liquid is a toxic acidic waste product of metabolism or energy consumption, diet and especially our thoughts or emotions.

In 1966, Dr. Otto Warburg, who won the Nobel Prize in Medicine in 1931 for his discovery
of the cause of cancer delivered a lecture at an annual meeting of Nobelists at Lindau,
Germany. In his speech he described the primal cause of cancer as follows:

"The prime cause of cancer is the replacement of the respiration of oxygen in normal body
cells by a fermentation of sugar. All normal body cells meet their energy needs by
respiration of oxygen, whereas cancer cells meet their energy needs in great part by
fermentation. All normal body cells are thus obligate anaerobes, whereas all cancer cells are partial anaerobes. From the standpoint of the physics and chemistry of life this difference between normal and cancer cells is so great that one can scarcely picture a greater difference.

Oxygen gas, the donor of energy in plants and animals is dethroned in the cancer cells
and replaced by an energy yielding reaction of the lowest living forms. Namely, a fermentation of glucose."

The following is a summary of understanding cancerous tissues:

1) Cancer is not a cell but a poisonous acidic liquid from diet, metabolism and emotional stress.

2) A cancer cell, is a cell that has been spoiled or poisoned by metabolic or gastrointestinal acids.

3) A tumor is the body's protective mechanism to encapsulate spoiled or poisoned cells from excess acid that has not been properly eliminated through urination, perspiration, defecation or respiration.

4) The tumor is the body's solution to protect surrounding healthy cells and tissues.

5) The tumor is the body protecting itself from systemic acidosis.

6) Cancer is a systemic acidic condition that settles at the weakest parts of the body - not a localized problem that metastases.

7) Metastases is localized acids spoiling other cells much like a rotten apple spoiling a bushel of healthy apples.

8) There is no such thing as a cancer cell. A cancer cell was once a healthy cell that has been spoiled by dietary and metabolic acids.

9) The tumor is not the problem but the solution to protect healthy cells and tissues from being spoiled from other rotting cells and tissues.

10) All tumors are encapsulated cells that are spoiling like a banana.

11) All tumors are sitting in a mote of acidic fluids. This is what forms the cyst that is generally attached to the tumor.

13) Cancer is NOT genetic! Lifestyle and dietary choice is what causes cancer.

14) The only solution to the acidic liquids that poison body cells causing the effects that medical savants call cancer is to alkalize and energize the body.

15) The best way to alkalize the body is to infuse natural alkalizing fluids into the body to force the hyper-alkalization of the tissues.

16) The cure for cancer is in alkalizing the fluids of the body not treating the tissues.

In conclusion, the human body is alkaline by design and acidic by function! If we desire a fit and healthy body we must maintain that alkaline design.

The Statue of Liberty's crown may open again to the public. Wouldn't that be just wonderful? She's been closed since September 11th, 2001; I think it time to reopen this beautiful symbol of freedom to the American people and her visitors.

Life often presents us with hard times; I’ve learned not to begrudge them...

I remember— especially when my husband and I were first married—how difficult it could be sometimes just to make ends meet. But guess what? Some of life’s best and most profitable lessons were learned by me when I was forced to be creative with the things that God had given me. It was during those times that I learned how important it is to make a list to shop by, and that I should never go to the grocery store feeling hungry. Simple? Maybe. Valuable? Most definitely. To this day, I never go to the grocery store without my list—in fact, I’d be lost without it! And I rarely go there when I’m hungry lest impulsive buying take over my list.

Years ago, when we first came to New York, I took a job babysitting for two little girls, four days a week. When Thursday came, their kind mother always handed me four twenty-dollar bills. In my heart, I would always subtract $8 for tithe and $2 for a love offering; and the rest was our grocery money! My two boys and one girl would pile into our Grand Safari station wagon with me and we'd drive right over to Shop Rite. With my list in hand, the kids and I would travel the aisles of the store, placing items in our shopping cart while I recorded their cost, careful not to go over our budget. Sometimes, when we had money left over, we would buy vanilla ice cream and root beer for floats; sometimes we got chips, sometimes ice pops. Sometimes we’d pocket the change and walk to 7-11 for slurpies, our dog, Banjo, tagging along for exercise.

This week I planned my menu around the food I already had in the 'fridge and freezer. I allotted myself $75 dollars for groceries at Sam's. The two singles in my change purse made it an even $77. Looks like "hard times" have served me well...

I was thrilled to receive these never-before-seen photos from a brother of mine. The groom is my father, the bride my Mom. Thought I'd share them with all of you.

Click on this photo and notice the fedoras on the men in the background - aren't they just grand?! Looks like the well-wishers used confetti instead of rice!
