Random photos

Alfredo and Rosie Hofmann hosted our first barbecue of the season on Saturday evening. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed all the good company! Here are a few random shots. I didn't take enough photos of the event - sorry!

Alfredo and Rosie, our gracious host and hostess made everyone feel right at home!

Randy enjoyed the evening after a long, hard day of laying sod on the new church property.

Brooke Albani, decked out in camoflage, enjoying a picnic on the Hofmann's lush backyard lawn. The kids loved the woods-like setting and played tons of fun games!

Beautiful Luke Gidicsin came with his Dad and Mom and two brothers.

Larry the dog behaved himself well for the entire evening. Cute!

7:45 in the Morning

Every Monday through Thursday, we are up and at 'em at 6 o'clock and out the door by 8. I'm looking forward to the summer months, when I have a 3-day work week and can sleep in on Monday mornings!

Simple Pleasures

Last Saturday, we packed up the dog, grabbed a loaf of bread, and headed out to the Patchogue Marina to enjoy the lovely weather. Randy walked Higgins while Abbey and I fed the adorable baby geese. The swans were so beautiful, but oh, so mean!

Backyard Nature (photos by Abbey)

Seen in our backyard on a daily basis...

Friendly rabbits...

...running for their lives at the sight of Higgins!

Tough-looking, New York turtles...

...on our back porch...

...making Higgins quite uncomfortable! (He hated the thing.)

Mother's Day was here

And so ends a perfect Mother's Day! My darling daughter and my handsome husband were so good to remember me so thoughtfully today! I awoke to find two beautifully wrapped packages and three cards on the kitchen table. After telling everyone how much I loved them, I opened my Mother's Day gifts (see photos below) and then went to church to worship and honor our lovely Lord. After services, Randy took us Outback restaurant, where we enjoyed a VERY GOOD Mother's Day meal. Thank you both so much for everything!

The beautifully wrapped packages

The beautiful new dishes! (And silverware!)

These rabbits appeared at the window this morning while we were ironing our church clothes. We have so many of them this year!

Aren't they just beautiful?

Here are some of the sweet little children with whom God has graced our lives. To some it may sound strange, but being a grandmother someday doesn't bother me in the least! For now, these little ones bring so much joy to our lives!

Here's Luke Christian playing in his tunnel.
And here he is on his way out!
What a cutie!
Here's our beautiful Madison Reagan! I think Luke agrees...
Here's Madison with Justin, she is his biggest fan!
