Time for flowers

Abbey and I went to the Bloomin' Haus in Holtsville today. I bought a flat of bedding flowers and a hanging basket of miniature, red petunias for the front porch. We even got sunflowers! We decided to "hide" the electric pole in our front yard by encircling it with sunflowers. When they start to get tall, we'll tie them to the pole with twine. You should go to the Bloomin' Haus - it's right on the way to church and has everything you could imagine; and the prices are very reasonable. There's even a petting zoo there for the kids - and for anyone else who enjoys a stroll through the zoo...

This is a VERY small section of the nursery, but gives you an idea of the fantastic flowers you can find.

Here's Abbey taking our flowers to the car. I think our girl is so lovely!

Again...

And yes, we did go to the petting zoo. If you have little kids you just have to take them to see this tiny, baby donkey who was born on May 7th. He is absolutely adorable!
Abbey and friend...

At heart, I really think I could be a farm girl...
