Plymouth MA

Randy and I went on a much-needed trip with some good friends this past week. Our travels took us first to Plymouth, Massachusetts - a quaint, seaside town whose history is as old as America herself.

The essence of the town is completely captured in this photo...

A replica of the Mayflower.

Plymouth Rock - seems small, doesn't it? It used to be much bigger than it is today, but because chunks of it were removed for visiting dignitaries and because it was moved and dropped, it naturally got smaller and smaller as time went on...

On a night-guided tour, each tourist carried one of these lantern replicas though the town of Plymouth. Inside was a single candle that shed its light through punched tin. 'Twas a very special evening - one I will not soon forget...

Back at the hotel and quite tired indeed!
