Are there any other bloggers out there willing to date themselves and admit to POURING over these catalogues as a child? I remember very well spending hours within the pages of the Sears Christmas Wish Books. My parents had seven children for whom to buy gifts and in 1970 there was only ONE THING that I wanted from the Sears Wish Book. If you'll leave a comment and let me know what you wished for when you were a child, I'll reveal what I wanted for Christmas in 1970 on Sunday morning, December 2nd.

1970 - This is the catalogue that contained my wish for Christmas when I was eight-years-old. Let me save you some time here - I'm forty-five.

Oh boy do I remember spending hours and hours with my siblings going through the Sears & Roebuck and the Montgomery Ward Christmas catalogs. I hadn't thought about that in a long time....thanks for causing me to relive a memory.
Well Mom, you know pretty much everything I wished for. I don't think I held that back from you!
I remember looking for the GI joes and hotwheels tracks. One Christmas I got the garage and firehouse. I wonder whatever happened to all that stuff?
I wanted a Chatty Cathy doll. I never did get one. I'll save you the calculations, too, if you've never heard of Chatty Cathy. I'm 52.
I just bought twin "bath and wet" dolls for myself yesterday - a boy and a girl. I will make clothes for them and play with them with my granddaughter. I plan to blog about it and maybe even type out some of my original knitting patterns as I go.
