A Post for the Lord's Day
Recently, Randy penned a very good article in regard to the suffering that takes place all around the world, every day, all the time, by all people—young and old. Suffering is common, and I have been no exception to the facts that surround our fallen race. (I’m sure my readers can relate.) My life here on planet earth is scarred by suffering—some of it my own fault, some of it not. Some of it I have born alone. But when Jesus Christ became my Saviour, the pain of suffering was no longer private. It became a burden He shared and gladly takes upon His own shoulders on a regular basis. He encourages me to cast all my care upon him; for he cares for me—I Peter 5:7. He assures me that the things which may happen to me in this life have been allowed only for my good “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28 The trials and temptations faced here below afford me the opportunity not only to mature in the faith, but to lay up treasure in heaven as I seek to glorify Him with my life through the trials He allows.
