The Statue of Liberty's crown may open again to the public. Wouldn't that be just wonderful? She's been closed since September 11th, 2001; I think it time to reopen this beautiful symbol of freedom to the American people and her visitors.

Oh dear, I'm sorry to hear you had laundry room troubles while the company was there. Wouldn't you just know!....I will let you know how the pig roast (the very thought makes me feel ill, I think I'll have the same reaction you did!) goes if we get there...my husband had to work to day..and he's exhausted. I've been given a huge bag of wool from shearing and have washed up half or more. Half to go though...in this case its a glass (laundry basket) half full instead of empty. Why do I take on so much I wondor? I must think I'm wonderwoman..giggle. That would be wonderful if they open up the Statue of Liberty's crown again. We were there twice and loved everything.

No pig roast for us! By the time my hubby got home from work we would have been 2 hrs late or more. And, I was dog-tired. Turned out that the next day, Sunday, I had a stomach virus and had to stay home and be a couch potato. I heard though, (our son went) that the meat was already cut up. they cooked it in a refurbished oil tank...aka..gas grill!
