Forgive my blog post if this is something you already practice, but a fellow-shopper at Sam's Club told me I should share my idea with the world! What better way to share an idea with the world than to post it on the world wide web? So here it is: Use those handy, dandy shopping cart seat belts to keep your purse secure while you look for groceries.

Those little red straps are great for keeping kiddos in the cart while mother shops, but if the kiddos aren't kiddos anymore you can still use them to secure your purse in place. Obviously, if someone really wants to steal your purse, he'll figure out a way to do it, but more than likely, if your purse handle is all tangled up and locked in place, the would-be thief will think twice about the length of time it would take to undo the whole thing and forget the idea of snatching your purse.

This is nothing earth-shattering, I know. But it works for me and maybe it'll work for you too.

Hi,
I always buckle up my pocketbook. (the kids make fun of me ofcourse)I'm just waiting for the day some guy goes running by and thinks he can just "grab and run"!! I'll be laughing the hardest when the WHOLE cart goes flying with him, and he ends up on the floor!! Gina

I actually learned this from my mom :o) Thanks mom! Anyway, I tend to leave my purse all around and wide open too. Buckling it up in a cart has probably prevented many a mishap for me!

My Aunt did this when she came to visit in February. It must be a Northern thing...You don"t hear much about purse snatching here in the South. I actually started to buckle my purse after she left.

I'm sorry we missed you last Sunday. I was looking forward to you meeting Katie. Hope you are feeling better! :)
