This gentle mourning dove found shelter from the *COLD* and blowing snow on our front porch this morning. Even though he saw me, he stayed while I took his photo. It would have made me whimsically happy to put a little red scarf around his neck and a knit cap upon his chilly head.

Hi Mrs. E.
Thats so funny how he's just sitting there. For the past 3 or so winters a bird would sit on the top of the fan we have under the awning in our backyard. He would just sit there all puffed up to keep warm. He would go out during the day and return every night. Birds are really interesting.

With all the adorable comments I guess I shouldn't let you know we enjoy hunting and eating those little critters here in Texas :)
