Gettysburg 2009

Randy and I traveled south for about five hours on Friday afternoon. We went out to eat, did some shopping, walked, talked, and completely enjoyed ourselves! On the Fourth of July, we took the girls a picnic lunch and ate at Gettysburg beneath the shade of a giant oak tree. Then the two of us hiked to Little Round Top - it's always so solemn there.

Randy and me. Abbey took this photo; I love the fact that there was someone walking behind us, an American flag displaying its stars and stripes in the strong wind!

What a wonderful time you had! Great photos.

We visited Gettysburg a few years ago and saw the monument to the 108th NY INFTY. Among them were our Irish relatives who gave their lives for our freedom.
