Not white.

My rescue orchid from Lowe's has bloomed!  I was hoping that it would be white, but I don't mind this color.  It's a shade of burgundy with spots of green - a very interesting combination for sure.  Over the years, I've heard many people say that orchids are difficult to grow.  But I've not had that experience.  I water them once a week and pretty much leave them alone.  Mine face a north window and are never moved.  The room is quiet and pleasant - two factors I believe help.  The only thing I don't like about orchids?  They are fragrance free.  I've heard that a single Korean orchid can fill an entire room with fragrance - but they are difficult to obtain and very, very expensive.
