Manhattanhenge

These pictures show the sun setting perfectly between the colossal buildings of New York City. Known as Manhattanhenge (a term coined by an astrophysicist and inspired by Stonehenge) the phenomenon, where the sun is perfectly aligned with the city's east-west grid, only happens twice a year. If you didn't see it on Wednesday (neither did I, so don't feel too bad) you can catch it again in July.
