How dandelions travel...

Look closely now. This little guy was out early this morning munching on a dandelion stem that had already gone to seed. While he munched, I watched the stem get shorter and shorter while tiny little parachutes, each carrying a dandelion seed, escaped from the stem and floated ever so silently over to the neighbor's yard.

Thanks for reading!

Well, we can see where Beatrix Potter got the material for her rabbit stories. =) I found it interesting that she had a pet rabbit. Did I spell that right? It sure looks funny. I confess to being a fan of her charming stories and illustrations. And anyway, about the dandy-lion seeds...=)...I love to see the bright yellow flowers but hate the part that needs dug out.

I'm with you about the dandelions, Maggie Ann. If you are a charmed fan of Beatrix Potter-as I and my daughter are :o)- you would just adore the movie "Miss Potter" with Renee Zellweger. It's perfectly clean, perfectly whimsical, and perfectly heartbreaking! Have you already seen it??

Hi mrs. E.
Thats a great picture. Yes, I've driven the car already, several times actually. On wednesday when Brother Martin was at church I drove my mother to church in it. She didn't like it very much. Her hair was ruined by the time we left the driveway, then a half and hour drive didn't help. Haha.

Cute story and imagery.

Dandelion stem for rabbits? Well then I have been gravely mistaken because here I was thinking it was merely goat food. My referral doctor suggested that I go pick dandelion stem and put them in my salad. I looked at her in disbelief, making note right then and there I would NOT be returning to absorb anymore of her medicinal wisdom (or lack thereof). It's not only goat food but rabbit food as well. My opinion still stands nonetheless.
