Definition of flutterby:

(flŭt'ər-bī)

1. 1. (n.) A butterfly.
   Origins: Defined by describing what it does, especially in the garden as it travels from flower to flower.
   
   
2. 2. (n.) Children's word for a butterfly.
   Example: "Ooh, look at the litt'l flutterby!"
   
   I've always loved the word flutterby to describe what we call a butterfly.  It just makes more sense!  Anywho, I chased this one all over the place until it finally landed long enough for me to snap its photo.  Pretty.  :o)
