You read that right... 20 pounds of blueberries. And I made THIS from my Pinterest board. Isn't it just perfect??!! I cannot tell you how delicious this cake is even without the buttermilk icing and oatmeal crumb topping. I don't know why, but I guess I just don't like the idea of buttermilk with powdered sugar sitting on top of a cake all day... seems to me like it would spoil and ruin the taste of the cake. So guess what else we did with this decadent cake?? The next morning, I sliced two pieces and buttered each side. Then I browned them on my pancake griddle. Was it good? Oh my - YES IT WAS!! Try it with coffee and good conversation on any given morning. It'll make your day!
