TA DA! My very first, homemade, from scratch CHOCOLATE CAKE! Isn't it lovely? Now if I can just find a good marshmallow frosting recipe.If you've got a good one, feel free to leave it in my comment box.:o)

Looks great! If you have the Better Homes and Gardens Red and White cookbook, there is a frosting called Fluffy White Frosting that would go perfectly with that! Oh wait! I found this one on Allrecipes that is the same ingredients we use! Hope it works for you.
Fluffy White Frosting
INGREDIENTS 1 cup white sugar 1/3 cup water 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar 2 egg whites 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

DIRECTIONS In a saucepan, stir together the sugar, water and cream of tartar. Cook over medium-high heat until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is bubbly. In a medium mixing bowl, whip the egg whites and vanilla to soft peaks. Gradually add the sugar mixture while whipping constantly until stiff peaks form, about 7 to 10 minutes. Frost the cake of your choice.

That looks delicious!!!! We use the same recipe as Rebecca gave you, it's perfect with chocolate cake.
