Oh Deer

A family of white tailed deer frolicking in the field!

Connetquot Park is a well kept secret here on Long Island.  We so enjoyed ourselves this past Saturday afternoon hiking on its well-kept trails.  We saw plenty of deer, a ground hog, a plethora of native birds, and a garden snake that slithered across the path, over my sneakered foot, and into the marshy woods.  Yes, I screamed. Look closely at the bottom left photo; someone's hiding :o)
A doe in the meadow...

This is my favorite photo of the day.  I love how the tree frames the doe who seems to be standing in a misty morning meadow.  God's creation is just so beautiful, isn't it?
